Bloomberg, Kaiko Bring Financial Data to Blockchain-Based Tokenized Markets
Asset tokenization is bringing traditional financial instruments such as U.S. Treasurys and repurchase agreements onto blockchains, but onchain pricing, valuations and reference data often lack consistent standards. Bloomberg is partnering with digital-asset data provider Kaiko to bring licensed financial data into onchain environments, a step that could help institutions use trusted information to manage trading, risk and settlement.
As of July 2026, the partners’ initial applications are focused on tokenized U.S. Treasury and repo markets on the Canton Network. The related tokenized markets have reached $25 billion. Kaiko will embed Bloomberg data into blockchain-based financial applications, narrowing data gaps between platforms while improving valuation integrity and operating efficiency for institutional-grade products.
