POSCO International, LG CNS Test Receivables Tokenization on Injective
POSCO International, South Korea’s largest trading company, is working with IT services provider LG CNS to explore blockchain-based trade settlement. Cross-border commerce typically requires buyers, sellers and banks to reconcile invoices and receivables across separate systems, creating delays and discrepancies. Tokenizing those claims could establish a single, transferable ledger record, potentially speeding reconciliation, trade finance and international payments.
The companies have begun testing the tokenization of commercial invoices and accounts receivable on the Injective blockchain. The pilot is designed to determine whether participants can use shared onchain records to reconcile transactions and settle payments more quickly. The partners have not disclosed the value or number of receivables involved, or a completion date. POSCO International plans to extend the framework to live commercial operations if the trial succeeds.
