Alliant to Buy Nava in AI Benefits Brokerage Push
Employee-benefits brokerage has traditionally relied on separate systems, spreadsheets and manual handoffs among producers, service teams, HR departments and workers. Alliant Insurance Services, one of the largest U.S. insurance brokers and consultants, is seeking to pair its national advisory, analytics and risk capabilities with Nava Benefits’ AI-native HQ platform. The combination matters because it shifts AI from an add-on tool to a common operating layer for benefits administration, renewal decisions and employee support.
Alliant said on Aug. 18, 2026, it had agreed to acquire Nava, with financial terms and an expected closing date not disclosed. Barclays is Nava’s exclusive financial adviser. Nava says HQ can reduce renewal quoting and scenario modeling from about a week to minutes, while its AI resolves 81% of member-support inquiries without human intervention and carries a 4.5-out-of-5 satisfaction score. Nava reports a lifetime Net Promoter Score of 89.
