Mastercard Launches Virtual C-Suite AI Advisers for Small Businesses
Small and medium-sized businesses account for about 90% of companies worldwide and more than half of global employment, yet limited staffing and budgets often leave them without specialists in finance, security and marketing. Mastercard developed the generative AI-powered Virtual C-Suite to address that gap. Its AI agents combine company data with insights from Mastercard’s payments network to deliver analysis and decision support typically available to senior executives at large companies.
Mastercard unveiled Virtual C-Suite on March 10, 2026. Its first offering, Virtual CFO, is expected to launch later this year through financial institutions, accounting platforms and software providers, with pricing yet to be disclosed. The system will combine a company’s financial activity with data from the 175 billion transactions Mastercard processed in 2025 to analyze cash flow, working capital, risks and opportunities. Mastercard plans to add cybersecurity, marketing and operations agents later.
