BlackRock's BUIDL Goes Live on BNB Chain as COO Sees AI Driving Tokenization Growth
BlackRock launched its USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund, BUIDL, in March 2024. The fund invests in U.S. Treasuries, cash and repurchase agreements, giving qualified investors blockchain-based access to yield-bearing tokenized U.S. dollar assets. Its assets later surpassed $2 billion, making it a key indicator of traditional financial institutions' push into real-world asset tokenization.
BlackRock COO Rob Goldstein confirmed that BUIDL went live on BNB Chain in November 2025 and was accepted by Binance as collateral for over-the-counter trading, expanding the fund's utility in crypto markets. He expects tokenized assets to grow severalfold over the next few years, with AI agents becoming a major driver by automating asset allocation, trading and settlement.
