Phison Posts Record First-Half EPS, Joins MSCI Global Standard Index
Phison Electronics is a major supplier of NAND flash controllers and storage solutions. The expansion of generative AI, cloud computing and data centers is driving demand for faster, higher-capacity storage, prompting the Taiwanese chipmaker to shift beyond consumer products toward enterprise SSDs and AI storage platforms. Inclusion in an MSCI Global Standard Index could also broaden its exposure to international institutions and index-tracking funds.
Phison said on Aug. 14, 2026, that first-half earnings per share reached a record NT$187.43. Its board approved a cash dividend of NT$60 per share. MSCI announced Phison’s addition to its Global Standard Indexes on Aug. 12, with the changes effective Sept. 1. Chief Executive K.S. Pua said the company would accelerate its transformation into a provider of enterprise SSD and AI storage platforms.
