Orion180 Files for Nasdaq IPO as Flood Insurance Demand Rises

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-25 · Last active 2026-08-25

Founded in 2018 and based in Melbourne, Florida, Orion180 Insurance Group uses its proprietary MY180 platform to automate underwriting and distributes homeowners, excess-and-surplus and private flood policies through more than 14,000 independent agents. The company is seeking to capitalize on insurers’ retreat from catastrophe-exposed markets and rising demand for alternative coverage. Its targeted E&S homeowners segment expanded at a roughly 25% compound annual rate over five years to $4 billion in premiums at the end of 2025.

Orion180 filed an S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Aug. 20, 2026, seeking to list Class A shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol “OIG.” The share count, price range and offering size have not been set. Revenue rose to $80.1 million in the first half of 2026 from $50.4 million a year earlier, while net income reached $13.5 million versus a $3 million loss. Direct written premiums totaled about $601 million in the 12 months through June 30, 2026.
