Fiserv Partners With OpenAI to Launch agentOS for Banks
Fiserv, a longtime provider of core processing and payment technology to banks, is working with OpenAI and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build agentOS, an operating system for financial institutions to deploy and manage AI agents. The initiative could determine whether its roughly 6,000 clients can introduce agentic AI into existing core systems while maintaining governance, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.
Fiserv has now co-developed AI agents with six banks for applications including financial crime investigations, business process automation and cost optimization. OpenAI provides the model capabilities, while AWS supports the cloud infrastructure. Available information does not identify the six banks or disclose the value of the partnership, a formal announcement date or a timetable for a full rollout. agentOS remains in the collaborative deployment stage.
