MoonPay Adds Cash App Pay for U.S. Crypto Purchases
MoonPay provides fiat-to-crypto on-ramp infrastructure, allowing wallets and trading platforms to offer digital-asset purchases without building their own card, bank-transfer and compliance systems. Block-owned Cash App had focused its native crypto offering on bitcoin and, more recently, USDC. Connecting Cash App Pay to MoonPay turns a mainstream payments balance into a funding source for a broader range of tokens, giving U.S. retail users a more familiar route into self-custody wallets and decentralized finance applications.
MoonPay and Cash App announced the integration on Aug. 18, 2026, allowing eligible U.S. customers to select Cash App Pay at checkout and fund crypto purchases directly from their Cash App balances. MoonPay offers more than 100 cryptocurrencies. The option is live across MoonPay’s checkout infrastructure and partner platforms including MetaMask, Trust Wallet and Uniswap. The companies did not disclose transaction volumes, commercial terms or fee changes, while access remains subject to geographic and user eligibility requirements.
