Talos Integrates Kalshi to Bring Prediction Markets to Institutions

1 reports · First detected 2026-07-22 · Last active 2026-07-22

Prediction markets allow investors to trade contracts tied to political, economic and other real-world outcomes, and are expanding beyond retail speculation into institutional finance. Talos, an institutional digital-asset trading technology provider valued at $1.5 billion, is linking that activity with Kalshi, a U.S. exchange regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The tie-up puts event contracts inside infrastructure already used by hedge funds and market makers, reducing technical barriers for institutions seeking to trade or hedge event risk.

Talos said on July 22, 2026, that select institutional clients can now trade Kalshi event contracts and crypto perpetuals through the same interface they use for digital assets, with no separate connection required. On-exchange users will have access to Iceberg, Pegged, Sniper, TWAP and POV algorithms designed to limit market impact. Talos also plans to let brokers and trading platforms offer Kalshi contracts to their customers later in 2026, subject to jurisdiction, while developing a harmonized market-data feed across prediction-market venues.
