Generali Hong Kong Deploys CoverGo AI Agent to Automate Health Claims
Health insurance claims often involve unstructured documents such as application forms, medical reports, invoices and receipts. Extracting the data manually can cause delays and data-entry errors. Generali Hong Kong has therefore partnered with global insurtech platform CoverGo to introduce AI into its claims process, showing how the technology is moving beyond customer-service support into medical data recognition and core claims operations.
The Fintech Times reported on April 4, 2026, that Generali Hong Kong had deployed CoverGo's Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) AI Agent. The system converts claims documents into structured data in real time and automatically maps them to ICD diagnosis codes and benefit codes. The companies have not disclosed the investment amount, processing volume, implementation timeline or percentage efficiency gain.
