Grayscale Withdraws Cardano, Polkadot and Hedera ETF Filings
Grayscale, one of the world’s largest crypto asset managers, has expanded beyond its early trust products as it seeks to give investors regulated exposure to digital assets through exchange-traded funds. Single-token ETFs tied to Cardano, Polkadot and Hedera would have broadened institutional access beyond the largest cryptocurrencies, making the withdrawals a notable retrenchment in the firm’s proposed altcoin lineup.
Grayscale has withdrawn its applications for standalone Cardano, Polkadot and Hedera ETFs, though it did not disclose the effective filing dates, any associated amounts or its reasons for the move. The company’s website still lists 17 ETF products as of the report’s publication. Grayscale has not publicly commented on the withdrawals or indicated whether it may revive any of the three proposals later.
