Salesforce, Nvidia Launch Koa to Target Enterprise AI
Enterprises adopting generative AI have had to balance the capabilities of proprietary frontier models against cost, data governance and industry specialization. Salesforce and Nvidia developed Koa from the open-weight Nemotron 3 Super model to handle multistep sales, marketing and customer-service workflows. Its integration into Agentforce gives customers a Salesforce-hosted alternative designed to use fewer tokens while keeping prompts, company data and inference within Salesforce’s security boundary.
Salesforce and Nvidia unveiled Koa at Dreamforce in San Francisco on Sept. 15, 2026. The model was post-trained from the 120-billion-parameter Nemotron 3 Super using public and synthetic data reflecting 27 years of Salesforce CRM experience, without customer information. Koa scored 0.86 on Salesforce’s CRM benchmark, compared with 0.81 for GPT-4.1, and is entering pilots with six organizations, including Formula 1, Xero and UChicago Medicine. The companies disclosed no investment value, commercial pricing or general-availability date.

The history behind this eventSalesforce Rallies as Earnings Beat Fuels AI Growth Push
Salesforce, a leading provider of enterprise software, has positioned generative AI as its next major growth engine through Agentforce, which brings autonomous agents into sales, customer service and business workflows. The strategy is aimed at countering concerns that AI could displace traditional software-as-a-service products. Salesforce is also deepening its partnership with Anthropic, whose leadership has argued that AI can expand the software market rather than destroy incumbent providers.
Salesforce reported quarterly revenue and profit above market expectations and issued a stronger-than-expected outlook, sending its shares up more than 12% in after-hours trading; subsequent reports put the gain as high as 22%. The company is expanding its work with Anthropic, accelerating the rollout of Agentforce and acquiring AI startup Fin. The results and fresh investments strengthened Salesforce’s case that AI is creating new demand for enterprise software, easing fears of an imminent SaaS downturn.
