Agentic AI Automates Complex Financial Workflows

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-11 · Last active 2026-08-11

Financial institutions have spent years digitizing customer channels, yet many back-office operations still depend on manual handoffs, siloed data and rigid rules. Agentic AI promises a step change by allowing autonomous systems to plan tasks, use enterprise tools and complete multi-stage workflows with limited supervision. Snowflake said on Oct. 1, 2025, that financial-services AI spending was projected to reach $93 billion by 2027, representing a 29% compound annual growth rate from 2023.

The latest push is shifting AI from answering questions to executing regulated work. Capgemini’s World Cloud Report – Financial Services 2026 found that institutions saw real-time decisions and responses as the leading potential benefit of AI agents, cited by 96% of respondents. Automating complex workflows followed at 91%, while 89% pointed to faster execution and turnaround. SEB’s wealth-management agent, developed with Google Cloud, generates suggested responses and call summaries and has improved efficiency by 15%.
