BMO, or Bank of Montreal, is a major Canadian financial group spanning personal, commercial and institutional banking. Recent initiatives have focused on returns from AI investment and trust in AI models, including the establishment of an institute for applied AI and quantum computing. BMO has also launched digital banking for small and medium-sized businesses, tokenized cash and tokenized deposits. It is selling part of its financing business to optimize capital allocation and plans to add branches in California.
