Anthropic Launches 10 Financial AI Agents with Microsoft 365 Integration

Anthropic’s Claude Cowork is designed to let AI agents carry out multi-step tasks on users’ behalf, ranging from organizing information to handling enterprise workflows. Expanding beyond its original environment to the web and mobile devices could embed the AI virtual coworker more deeply in daily operations and cross-device collaboration, marking an important step in enterprise adoption of generative AI.

Anthropic has announced that Claude Cowork will expand to the web and mobile, with support for cross-platform operation and continuous cloud-based background processing. Early data show that 33.4% of users already employ the tool for business-process operations. However, available reports do not specify an exact release date, subscription price or related investment amount, and the rollout timetable and pricing plans have yet to be announced.

Anthropic is moving the use of generative AI in financial services beyond general-purpose question answering and into repeatable professional workflows. The open-source framework targets areas including investment banking and equity research, enabling Claude to perform DCF valuations, analyze financial statements and support wealth management. It lowers the barriers for financial institutions to design their own prompts and integrate data.

Anthropic has open-sourced “Claude for Financial Services Plugins” on GitHub. The package includes 41 Skills that can be triggered automatically based on the task, spans four major areas of finance and connects to 11 leading data providers, including LSEG and S&P Global. Reports did not specify a formal release date, licensing fees or a timetable for commercial deployment.
