2 reports · First detected 2026-04-15 · Last active 2026-05-06

Wells Fargo is a major U.S. bank with about $2.1 trillion in assets. In recent years, it has used its Fargo AI virtual assistant to supplement branch and customer support services. Fargo logged more than 1 billion interactions less than three years after launch, reflecting customers' rapid shift to mobile banking and making AI-driven personalization, efficiency and risk governance central to the bank's digital transformation.

During its first-quarter earnings call on April 14, 2026, Wells Fargo said it had more than 33 million active mobile banking users and that Zelle transaction volume had risen 14% year over year. The bank had previously applied to trademark “WFUSD” on March 10, covering asset tokenization, cryptocurrency trading and payments, stablecoin processing and digital wallets. The application remains pending, and Wells Fargo has not formally announced a product launch.
