Salesforce Weighs $2 Billion Acquisition of Listen Labs

2 reports · First detected 2026-09-10 · Last active 2026-09-10

Listen Labs uses voice artificial intelligence to analyze interviews and customer conversations, helping companies turn qualitative feedback into market-research insights. A takeover would add a specialized AI research platform to Salesforce’s enterprise software portfolio as the cloud-computing company expands its data and generative-AI capabilities. The talks also underscore intensifying competition among large software vendors for AI applications, proprietary workflows and technical talent.

As of Sept. 10, 2026, Listen Labs has halted a planned Series C funding round that would have valued the startup at $1.5 billion while it holds acquisition talks with Salesforce. The potential transaction is valued at about $2 billion, according to reports. If negotiations fail, Listen Labs is expected to return to the private funding market and seek a valuation above $2 billion.

Salesforce to Acquire AI Customer-Service Platform Fin for $3.6 Billionfirst seen 2026-06-15 · 3 reports · similarity 0.68 · same topic: Salesforce

Fin was formerly Intercom, a customer-service software provider founded in 2011, and adopted its new name in May 2026 as it made AI customer-service agents its core focus. Salesforce has been pursuing enterprise automation through Agentforce. Acquiring Fin would add rapidly deployable vertical models and more than 30,000 enterprise customers, strengthening Salesforce's position in the customer-service AI market.

Salesforce signed an agreement on June 15, 2026, to acquire Fin for about $3.6 billion. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of Salesforce's fiscal 2027. Fin says Apex outperforms OpenAI and Anthropic models in customer-service resolution rates and can automatically handle an average of 76% of customer-service volume. Agentforce's annual recurring revenue reached $1.2 billion over the same period, up 205% from a year earlier.
