Bitget Launches Stocks 2.0 With Direct Links to Tokenized Equities and U.S. Market Liquidity

1 reports · First detected 2026-06-02 · Last active 2026-06-02

Tokenized stocks are a real-world asset application that uses blockchain tokens to represent the price and economic rights of traditional shares, giving crypto users exposure to U.S. equities without leaving an exchange. Bitget connects this model to Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange liquidity, shortening the trading path between crypto assets and traditional securities markets. Holders’ rights, however, remain subject to the product terms.

Bitget announced the launch of Stocks 2.0 on June 4, 2026, and said on June 5 that the service supported more than 500 U.S. stocks and ETFs, with assets under management exceeding $50 million. The product maps the economic value of each underlying share on a 1:1 basis and trades in USDT. Cash dividends can be converted into USDT and credited to accounts, while stock splits and reverse splits are reflected in token balances.

The Backstory

The history behind this event
Bitget’s rToken Platform Surpasses 2 Million Trades2026-08-24 · 2 reports · similarity 0.81

Tokenized stocks bring traditional securities onto blockchain-based trading infrastructure, giving investors a way to access equity exposure alongside digital assets. Bitget’s rToken platform is integrated with a unified cross-asset account that allows tokenized U.S. stocks and cryptocurrencies to be used as collateral, part of a broader push by crypto exchanges to connect conventional capital markets with round-the-clock digital-asset venues.

Bitget said cumulative transactions on rToken have surpassed 2 million, while July trading volume increased 121.95% from the previous month. The exchange’s July transparency report also described an 18-fold expansion in rToken activity, signaling stronger participation in tokenized markets. Sustaining that momentum will depend on liquidity, the range of supported assets and the evolving regulatory treatment of blockchain-based securities.

xStocks is a Kraken-backed tokenized securities infrastructure that gives investors blockchain-based exposure to stocks and exchange-traded funds. Bitget Wallet’s integration of the service into its self-custodial wallet reflects crypto platforms’ accelerating push into real-world assets (RWAs), lowering barriers between traditional securities and onchain trading.

Bitget Wallet recently announced that it was adding more than 130 tokenized stocks and ETFs for its 90 million users, expanding its total RWA offering to more than 300 assets. The integration supports both request-for-quote pricing and automated market maker liquidity models, while offering zero-fee, gas-free trading. The announcement did not specify an exact launch date.
