Ransomware

Ransomware is a cyberattack that forces victims to pay by encrypting systems, stealing data or threatening to disclose information. Recent incidents show attackers combining AI agents, Langflow vulnerabilities and malicious frameworks such as Avalon to increase their capacity for automated intrusion. Targets have included cryptocurrency wallets, local governments, banks, port authorities and cybersecurity companies. Cases have also emerged involving cybersecurity negotiators colluding with groups such as BlackCat. The issue warrants close attention because it involves operational disruption, exposure of sensitive data, Bitcoin ransom payments, identity security and supply-chain management risks.
